Joe Baab (Timothy Joseph Baab)

Joe Baab, 38, born October 22, 1982, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 12, 2021 after a courageous and valiant three-year fight against colorectal cancer.

He is survived by his parents, Tim and Sue (Whitney) Baab, sister and brother-in-law, Emily (Baab) and Kenny Fisher, nephew Theo, and countless family and friends.

Joe graduated from University School, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Miami (OH) University, and a Master’s degree from Ohio University.

Joe’s ability to connect with people and spread positivity was utilized as a math teacher and basketball coach at Grand River Academy and Columbia local schools. Joe also coached basketball for Notre Dame College and Fairmont State University. Always seeking to help others, Joe transitioned out of the classroom and into human resources, working with Day Star Staffing and Oatey.

Joe was a fiercely loyal fan of Cleveland sports teams, enjoyed golfing, and playing with his nephew. His sense of humor and unwavering positivity brought a smile to the face of everyone he encountered. Joe spread kindness and love freely, constantly working to create a positive impact and make everyone feel good.
